Digestive Reset Program
Cleansing for the first 7 days
Preparing for Your 7‑Day Digestion Reset
A gentle invitation to clear Ama, strengthen Agni, and return to balance
As you enter this 7‑day Digestion Reset, think of it as giving your entire system a long‑overdue exhale. Over time—through stress, irregular eating, processed foods, sugar, caffeine, and the natural wear of modern life—your body begins to accumulate Ama, the undigested residue that settles in the digestive tract and tissues. Ama creates heaviness, fogginess, bloating, sluggishness, and that sense of “I’m not digesting life the way I used to.”
This reset is your opportunity to clear that buildup and rekindle your digestive fire—Agni, the inner flame that governs metabolism, clarity, vitality, and nourishment.
Why We Cleanse
When Agni becomes weak, the body can’t fully break down food or experiences. Ama begins to accumulate, and the digestive system becomes overwhelmed. This program is designed to:
strengthen your digestive fire
clear accumulated toxins
give your gut a much‑needed rest
restore balance to your system
support natural energy and clarity
Every choice in this reset—from the foods to the rhythms—is here to help your body remember how to digest with ease again.
What to Expect During the Reset
You may feel tired at first
This is normal. Fatigue is often a sign that your body is detoxing from sugar, caffeine, or overstimulation. Your system is recalibrating, and this temporary dip is part of the cleansing process.
2. No coffee (even decaf) during this time
Coffee—regular or decaf—stimulates the nervous system and disrupts Agni. Removing it allows your digestive fire to reset without interference.
3. If you feel true hunger, eat more
This program is not about deprivation. If your body is asking for nourishment—not cravings, but real hunger—increase your portions at each meal. Your digestive fire is waking up, and it needs fuel.
4. If you feel you need animal protein, you may add it—mindfully
If your body is asking for more grounding or strength, you may add lean animal protein at lunchtime only, such as:
chicken
turkey
salmon or other light seafood
Remember: Animal protein is heavier and takes more energy to digest. This reset is designed around easy‑to‑digest, seasonal foods so your system can rest and rebuild. If you choose to add protein, do so with intention and only at midday, when Agni is naturally strongest.
Getting Ready to Cleanse
Preparing Your Liver, Blood, Tissues & Digestive System for Reset
During this 7‑day digestion reset, your body will begin clearing Ama (toxins) from the digestive tract and tissues while strengthening Agni (digestive fire). This process supports the liver, lymph, blood, and gut so your whole system can return to balance.
Your Cleansing Objectives
Flush and nourish the liver
Move and purify the blood
Reduce inflammation and process digestive toxins
Decongest the lymphatic system
Strengthen Agni (Deepana)
Burn and eliminate Ama (Pachana)
Supplies You Will Need
Organic Ghee
Kitchari ingredients
Organic split yellow mung dahl
Basmati rice
Kitchari spice mix (Banyan Botanicals or provided recipe)
Two cleansing herbs (provided by me)
Flora Restore (post‑cleanse, from LifeSpa)
Garshana gloves for dry brushing (LifeSpa)
Dosha‑appropriate massage oil (Banyan Botanicals)
Cleansing with Ghee
Ghee is one of Ayurveda’s most powerful digestive cleansers. Its naturally high butyric acid content nourishes the intestinal lining, supports healthy gut bacteria, and helps pull fat‑soluble toxins from the tissues.
Important: If you have difficulty digesting fats or have high cholesterol, use olive oil instead of ghee. If you do not have a gallbladder, use coconut oil and stay at 2 teaspoons daily—do not increase.
Daily Ghee Protocol (Morning Only)
Take your ghee first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. If you experience cramping or diarrhea, stop increasing and stay at 2 teaspoons per day.
Day-by-Day
Day 1: 2 tsp melted ghee
Day 2: 4 tsp melted ghee
Day 3: 6 tsp melted ghee
Day 4: 8 tsp melted ghee
You may drink it:
Plain
Or mixed into ½ cup warm milk (rice, almond, coconut, or organic vat‑pasteurized cow’s milk)
Wait 30 minutes before eating.
Hot Sips Throughout the Day
Warm‑to‑hot water is essential during this cleanse. It softens the digestive tract, hydrates the tissues, moves lymph, and supports toxin release.
Action Steps
Sip warm‑to‑hot boiled water all day long
Take 1–3 small sips every 10–15 minutes
You may drink:
Plain hot water
Or CCF tea (cumin, coriander, fennel)
This steady hydration keeps the channels open so toxins can move out.
