Rose Petal Jam

Why Rose Petal Jam Is So Significant in Ayurveda

Rose is considered one of the most sattvic foods—pure, calming, heart‑opening.
It supports:

  • emotional balance

  • clarity of mind

  • steady energy

  • a sense of inner peace

Because Pitta governs the mind and emotions as much as the body, rose becomes a powerful ally for restoring harmony on all levels.

A spoonful of rose petal jam is essentially a cooling, heart‑soothing, Pitta‑balancing tonic—sweet enough to nourish, light enough to digest, and gentle enough to calm both body and mind.

This can be used on top of oatmeal, toast, or pancakes.  You can also put in your warm milk with spices.

Ingredients:

3/4 cups edible dried organic rose petals

1/2 cup organic raw cane sugar or Jaggery

1 cup water

2 tbsp pectin

1 tbsp lemon juice

Mix pectin and sugar together in a bowl.  Add water, rose petals, and sugar/pectin mix to a pot and simmer for 3 minutes.  Add lemon juice and boil for 10 minutes until thickened.  Let cool and then store in the refrigerator.  Use within a week.
